A gift for 'Sintervoorieder1'

Every child deserves a gift from Sinterklaas. Yet, many children growing up in (hidden) poverty often don't receive a gift on December 5th. Fortunately, Stichting Sintvoorieder1 is here! This foundation ensures that Sinterklaas also remembers these children every year.

As an AED-Partner, we are happy to support a foundation with such a wonderful initiative. That's why we recently donated a gift: an AED for the volunteers!

From a few hundred gifts to 30,000 gift packages
The idea behind Sintvoorieder1 originated in 2010 at a mother's kitchen table. She conceived of an initiative to give hundreds of children in poor families a gift for Sinterklaas. And it was a success! This initiative has since grown into an official foundation with 75 regular volunteers who make around 30,000 children happy each year with a gift package. And that number is growing: more children need a package every year.

A (heart)safe warehouse
To get all the packages ready on time, Sintvoorieder1 has just acquired a new warehouse. Annemieke Sindorf works there on workplace safety: “Large groups of volunteers are often busy in the warehouse at the same time. Accidents can happen easily. For example, someone could fall ill. Therefore, a first aider has recently always been present.

Recently, we were also able to take another great step in safety: next to the first-aid kit in our coffee corner, there is now also an AED. Clearly visible, so everyone can grab it quickly if needed. For us as a foundation, it's extra special that the AED was a gift. Thank you!‘
